Well, After saw bought movies and reads the comics, I remember "the Magic Trick" scene from the dark knight and thought, what would happen if this epic and very opposites madmen meet each other?
For Rorschach:
I always thought that Rorschach and Nite owl characters were some sort of different batman´s facets developed in almost realistic circumstances...
I know the Characters were based in specific comics characters but anyway in wikipedia I found this interesting reference from Alan Moore himself:
- Moore stated that Rorschach was created as a way of exploring how an archetypical Batman-type character—a driven, vengeance-fueled vigilante—would be like in the real world. He concluded that the short answer was "a nutcase."
When I read this, part of the idea for this work star to make connections...
For the Joker:
Yeah Maybe looks like the Nolan´s Version, but actually My work was more inspired by the incredible graphic novel "JOKER" by Brian Azzarello and Lee Bermejo, being the Bermejo´s Joker version who got my attention, that comic is just a master piece, in script and art style, a awesome combination!!!
and those things bring to my head the idea of this two wild nutcases face each other
awsome work! I did recognize the joker of the graphic novel on sight... and I like that you gave him an expression not so common for this caracter This is a great ilustration :-D
