Don't worry about that, you know that at least one kid on 10 is afraid by clown? When i see somes santa's artwork (or in my country somes Saint Nicolas artworks) i find them sometimes creepies! One day i have said to myself "It's Santa Claus thisguy or... Santa Charles Manson? That's incredible how somes characters who appears us cutes or populars could affraid somes kids: E.T., Bob Sponge, somes sesams street guy... I know a kid who is afraid by... Pikatchu!
